Spinal decompression is a method of resolving chronic neck and low back pain caused by degenerative disc disease, facet syndrome, bulging/herniated discs, failed back syndrome, sciatica, and spinal stenosis. During non-surgical spinal decompression, a variety of stretches are performed that direct oxygen and nutrients to the discs. The increased flow of oxygen and nutrients improves discs’ ability to heal themselves. Additionally, the stretches relieve pain caused by pinched nerves, reposition bulged discs, and redirect escaped disc material that can irritate nerves and the spinal cord back to the discs.
Treatment typically lasts 8-12 weeks.
